Basic Eligibility

• Pass in SSLC conducted by the Kerala Commissioner for Government Examinations or an equivalent examination.
• Candidates must possess one of these qualifications:
  • Nursery Training Certificate issued by the Kerala Government or the former Travancore, Cochin or Travancore-Cochin governments.
  • Nursery Training Certificate issued by the State Council for Child Welfare.
  • Balasevika Training Certificate issued by the State Council for Child Welfare.
  • Pre-Primary Teachers Training Certificate issued by the Kerala Commissioner for Government Examinations.
• Candidates must have passed SSLC with Kannada as the first language.
• Preference will be given to TTC or TSLC holders possessing one of the required training qualifications.

Age Limit

General age limit: 18–44 years

Candidates must have been born between 2 January 1982 and 1 January 2008, including both dates.

Usual relaxation is available for SC, ST and eligible backward-community candidates. The maximum age after relaxation cannot exceed 50 years.

Selection Process

Kerala PSC may conduct a written, OMR or online examination. Candidates must provide examination confirmation through their One-Time Registration profile when instructed.

The subsequent process may include:

• Examination

• Preparation of the Kasaragod district ranked list
• Appointment based on vacancy and ranking
