Community Eligibility
- The vacancy is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste community.
- Scheduled Tribe candidates may be considered if qualified Scheduled Caste candidates are unavailable.
- Candidates from other communities are not eligible under this notification.
Basic Eligibility
- Master’s degree in Statistics or the concerned subject with at least 50% marks, or an equivalent qualification, with a good academic record.
- Pass in the comprehensive subject test conducted by the UGC or an agency authorised by the state government.
- Candidates possessing a PhD in the concerned subject are exempted from the NET requirement, subject to the notification’s conditions.
- Only degrees awarded by UGC-recognised universities will be accepted.
- When qualifications are equal, preference will be given to candidates possessing adequate knowledge of Malayalam.

Selection Process
Kerala PSC may conduct a written, OMR or online examination. If an examination is announced, candidates must submit confirmation through their PSC profile.

Probation
The selected candidate will undergo probation for two years of duty within a continuous period of three years.
